What is Film Making?

Film making refers to the multi-step process by which a movie is made. Filmmaking involves numerous complex and discrete stages of production which include the story, idea/commission, screenwriting, casting, shooting, sound recording, pre-production, editing and screening the final film before the audience release. Filmmaking takes place in various different locations worldwide in an expansive range of social, economic and political contexts employing a variety of cinematic techniques and technology.
