What is Interior Designing?

Interior designing is the art and science dealing with creative and technical solutions to enhance interior environments. It is a multi-faceted profession including conceptual development, space planning, site inspections and construction management to achieve an aesthetically pleasing environment and enhance the quality of life and culture of the occupants. The interior design process follows a systematic methodology with the creative process, whereby the needs and resources of the client are coordinated and satisfied to produce an interior space that fulfills the project goals.

• Responsibilities of an interior designer include visualising and designing sketches/plans for interior spaces
• Undertaking design projects from conception to completion
• Interpreting and translating client needs into project plans
• Undertaking research on product sourcing, space planning and site inspections
