What is Travel and Tourism?
The Travel and Tourism industry comprises traveling to different locations for business/pleasure purposes. Tourism generally refers to traveling between the minimum duration of 24 hours and maximum duration of one year and generally involves round trips rather than one-way trips. The travel industry is more expansive and includes round trips, one-way trips, long-distance travel, short-distance travel, overseas travel, domestic travel, etc. The travel and tourist industry oversees all aspects of the service industry catering to the requirements and desires of tourists and travelers.
Job Description
- Responsibilities include helping clients identify their ideal travel package based on their requirements
- Studying and assimilating all information regarding travel destinations such as prices, weather, language, currency and customs
- Providing end to end service while organizing a trip from booking the tickets, reserving the hotels and creating the itinerary
- Regularly updating a database containing client details and their travel information
