As I sat among our students, parents, and faculty on 20th December 2024, witnessing the Graduation Day ceremony for our ISC Grade 12 students, I was overwhelmed with pride and joy. The event, held at our Sarjapur campus was more than just a milestone— as our ISC Grade -XII students from Bannerghatta & Sarjapur campuses witnessed an inspirational and important event of their future. It was a testament to the dedication, resilience, and growth of our students as they prepared to step into a world full of possibilities
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the presence of our distinguished Chief Guest, Mr. Sachin Bansal, co-founder and CEO of Navi Technologies. As a trailblazer in the entrepreneurial landscape of India, his story is one of perseverance, innovation, and boundless ambition. Mr. Bansal’s journey, from co-founding Flipkart in 2007 to transforming it into India’s largest e-commerce platform and eventually overseeing its acquisition by Walmart in 2018, is nothing short of extraordinary.
In his address to our graduating class, Mr. Bansal delivered a deeply inspiring speech that captivated everyone present. He shared candid anecdotes from his entrepreneurial journey, offering invaluable life lessons to our students. His words emphasized resilience, the power of innovation, and the importance of learning from failure. “Let your dreams guide you, but don’t shy away from the challenges along the way,” he said, leaving us all with a renewed sense of purpose.
As Managing Trustee of Greenwood High, I have always believed in fostering an environment where students are encouraged to dream big, work hard, and embrace life’s challenges with confidence. Mr. Bansal’s words perfectly echoed this philosophy, serving as a beacon of inspiration for our young graduates.
The ceremony also provided an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our students. Watching each graduate walk across the stage to receive their certificates was a profoundly emotional moment. Each of them represents the culmination of years of hard work, guided by the unwavering support of their teachers and families.
Our faculty members delivered heartfelt speeches, reminding the students that their journey at Greenwood High has equipped them with the skills, values, and confidence to succeed in the wider world. The vibrant student performances added a celebratory touch to the day, and the atmosphere was filled with excitement and camaraderie.
As the graduates tossed their caps into the air, signaling the end of one chapter and the beginning of another, I couldn’t help but feel immense gratitude. Gratitude to the parents for their trust in us, to the teachers for their tireless efforts, and to the students for their unyielding determination.
The 2024 Graduation Day at Greenwood High will remain etched in my memory as a day of joy, pride, and inspiration. It was not just a celebration of academic achievements but a reaffirmation of the bonds we share as a school community.
To our graduates, my message is simple: Dream big, work hard, and stay true to yourselves. The world awaits you, and I have no doubt you will make it brighter with your talents, values, and aspirations.
