New Delhi, 29 August 2024 – Centurion University, in partnership with SRB Consultancy, successfully hosted the Eastern India launch of *Power Within: The Leadership Legacy of Narendra Modi* by Dr. R. Balasubramaniam in Bhubaneswar. This event was a key part of the nationwide book launch series.
The gathering featured notable attendees, including Senior Advocate Shri R. Venkataramani, Attorney-General for India, and Dr. R. Balasubramaniam, Member – HR, Capacity Building Commission, Government of India. The theme, “Leadership through Indic Wisdom,” examined how traditional Indian values have shaped Prime Minister Modi’s 50-year public service career.
*Power Within* contrasts Western leadership theories with Indian perspectives, exploring how Modi’s adherence to Indic wisdom has influenced his governance style. Prof. Mukti Kanta Mishra, President of Centurion University, praised the book for capturing the essence of Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and aligning with the University’s mission of empowering communities through education and skill development.
Shri Rajib Sekhar Sahoo, Eminent Chartered Accountant, highlighted Modi’s visionary leadership and willingness to take risks, noting the significant reforms of the past decade. Dr. Balasubramaniam emphasized the book’s focus on leadership rooted in cultural values, aiming to inspire readers to lead with integrity and purpose.
The event also featured a panel discussion moderated by Prof. Supriya Pattanayak, Vice-Chancellor of Centurion University, with insights from Shri Pitambar Acharya, Advocate General for Odisha; Shri Swami Atmaprabhananda, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math; and Shri Rajib Sekhar Sahoo. The discussion underscored the global relevance of Indic leadership principles.
The event concluded with a Q&A session, offering attendees a deeper understanding of leadership and its impact on societal change.
