Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM) held its 13th Convocation, conferring degrees on 3,059 graduates, including 39 PhD scholars. The event was attended by Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, ISRO Chairman Dr V. Narayanan and DRDO Director General (ECS) Dr B. K. Das.
The graduating cohort included students from the 2025 batch and 183 from previous years. University toppers received key honours, including the Visitor’s Gold Medal awarded to Onyinye Francisca Ajaka, the Dhiren Patnaik Memorial Gold Medal to Sangita Ghosh, the Peter Renwick Memorial Gold Medal to Saket Raj and the Debendra Pradhan Memorial Gold Medal to Arpita Mohapatra. Seventeen students received University Gold Medals and 33 secured Merit Awards.
Addressing the ceremony, Governor Kambhampati highlighted CUTM’s skill-integrated learning model and urged graduates to contribute to national development. Vice-Chancellor Prof Supriya Pattanayak referred to the university’s focus on sustainable development and inclusion. Dr Narayanan noted the institution’s alignment with national goals in science, technology and self-reliance, while Dr Das encouraged graduates to uphold values and ethics as they begin their careers.
The event was attended by senior university officials, faculty members, parents and guests. In 2025, the university received the Prakriti Mitra Puraskar from the Odisha government, recognition in the Nature Positive category at the Green Gown Awards International, and strong standings in the Times Higher Education and Outlook-ICARE rankings. CUTM said it remains committed to preparing skilled professionals with a focus on societal impact.
