Less than a month after being named ‘Outstanding Skill University’ at the World Education Summit, Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM) in Odisha has achieved the top position in the Outlook-ICARE India’s Top Universities Rankings 2024. The university, accredited as a Center of Excellence by the Union Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, has secured All India Rank 1 in the Skill University category and is ranked among the top 10 Private State Universities in India.
The Outlook-ICARE rankings assess universities across multiple criteria, including Academic & Research Excellence, Industry Interface, Placements, Infrastructure & Facilities, Governance & Extension, and Diversity & Outreach. CUTM excelled particularly in Academic & Research Excellence and Industry Interface & Placements, reflecting its strong performance in these areas.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Supriya Pattanayak emphasized the university’s dedication to integrating skill development with higher education, focusing on experiential learning and industry involvement. She acknowledged the contributions of the Centurion community in advancing employability, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
In addition to its recent accolades, CUTM was previously recognized in the University Impact Rankings 2024, where it was ranked 18th overall. The university performed notably well in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), securing high positions in SDG 14 (Life Below Water) and SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), and ranking 3rd in SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
