Established in 2020, Bengaluru-based Chaman Bhartiya School is a co-ed K-12 school, founded by Snehdeep Aggarwal, who is also the chairman. It focuses on nurturing the passion in every learner so that they can become a leader in their area of passion. The school helps create a positive environment for the development of the personal and social qualities as well as skills and competencies that are crucial to be a person, a citizen and an employable person in the world of today.
Director Allan Andersen along with other senior members of the academic team introduced the “We Lead” education model that incorporates the development of academic competencies along with 21st-century competencies as well as leadership skills. The school will also incorporate best practices on flexible learning spaces, innovative teaching practices as well as incorporate technology to personalise learning.
Designed by Andrew Daws, chief architect from UK, the 1,45,000 square feet building and 1.3 acres playground was inspired by some of Europe’s finest schools. The school building design supports the school’s vision and enables personalised learning. It also features another unique learning space — the Treehouse located at the entrance of the school is centered around a replanted 50-year-old tree brought all the way from Pondicherry. It has been made entirely with sustainable, renewable and recycled materials with wood from Auroville forests entirely sourced from naturally dead trees using sustainable forestry practices.
The school has 15 ICT teaching-learning facilities and boasts of a Mac lab that aims to equip the students in various domains like presentations, video-editing and app development. Besides, the school also has a library, fine arts zone, external play area, sports area, innovation lab, Apple podcast studio, swimming pool and 5 labs – physics, chemistry, botany, zoology and computer lab.
Chaman Bhartiya School follows a unique ‘WE LEAD’ curriculum which merges academic excellence with development of leadership skills and 21st-century competencies. It strives to build these competencies and skills in every child and enables them to live and work in an environment vastly different from current times. The curriculum of the school will be integrated into the national and international curricula and is exclusively designed to promote intellectual, aesthetic, creative, socio-emotional and physical development.
The curriculum has been envisioned by renowned international educator Allan Andersen along with senior members of the academic team at Chaman Bhartiya School. Further, it also utilises technology to personalise learning and has a complete learning ecosystem developed in association with Apple Solution Expert for Education (Creative Infotech). It is also an exclusive member of the international Global Schools Alliance.
An academically rigorous curriculum that integrates elements of the national and international curriculum, it focuses on subject knowledge and conceptual clarity. After 8th grade, students can choose which boards they want to apply for. The school will be applying for affiliation with national & international curricula.
The syllabus comprises of Numeracy, Literary, language, Science and Mathematics are covered by the integration of national and international curriculum.
