“CHIREC is fully committed to preparing children for success in the tech-driven global economy. Yet we also strongly believe in providing a rich personal school experience — classrooms of peers, teachers who provide individual attention, sports and games facilities, and a safe environment which nurtures children’s emotional, physical, social and mental well-being.’’ – Ratna Reddy, Founder-director
Spread over three contemporary campuses in Hi-tech City – Hyderabad’s IT and financial hub – contiguous to the scenic Botanical Gardens, the CHIREC (Children’s Recreation Centre) International School enjoys a pan-India reputation for providing 21st century holistic education to its 3,727 students mentored by 350 teachers. Driven by its motto — ‘Quality education for Overall Excellence’ — CHIREC supplements its rigorous academic programme with a rich fare of extra-curricular activities to enable all-round development of children.
To realise its institutional objective of developing the “whole child”, the CHIREC management has invested heavily in enabling academic and co-curricular facilities. The school’s 1,841 boy and 1,886 girl students learn in a wi-fi enabled state-of-the-art 5.5 acre campus in Kondapur hosting 142 digitally equipped classrooms, three libraries (22,000 volumes), science, math and computer, robotics, fashion studies, 3D printing, home science, biotech and language labs, art and crafts, painting and music rooms.
The school’s focus on innovative teaching-learning pedagogies is substantiated by its outstanding school-leaving exam results. Of the 34 students who wrote the IB Diploma (class XII) exam, seven recorded an average of 40 and above (max 45). In March 2019, of the 65 students who wrote the IGCSE (class X) exam, 37 scored A* and A. Of the 134 students who wrote this year’s CBSE’s AISSCE (class XII) exam, 17 students secured 95 percent-plus.
CHIREC International students have been admitted into several top-ranked universities such as Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, MIT, Pennsylvania, Cornell, Duke, Michigan, Ann Arbor, Parsons Institute (USA), London School of Economics, London School of Fashion (UK), among others. Prominent alumni include Prukalpa Sankar, co-founder of Social Cops; Shreya Kamavarapu, second runner up of Miss India 2018 and G.V. Keshav Reddy of the GVK business conglomerate.
