Overview

Christu Jayanthi Public School (CJPS), Cochin is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. CJPS, Cochin was founded in 1999 by the Fathers of the CMI congregation. The school boasts 2206 students from kindergarten through class XII and 94 teachers.

Campus

The 10 acre school campus houses its own farm with a variety of flora and fauna, a state of the art library, spacious and ventilated class rooms with interactive digital boards, well equipped laboratories for math, physics, chemistry and biology, computer lab, language lab, an AV room and a cafeteria.

The kindergarten section houses a play park, a canopied swimming pool, music and drama rooms and a chapel.

Academics

The school offers CBSE curriculum with English as the medium of instruction and Malayalam, Hindi and French as additional languages. The school follows Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation as prescribed by the CBSE and academic performance of students is evaluated through formative and summative assessments. The school aims at holistic development of its students and importance is given to activities inside and outside the class room.

Co-scholastic activities include physical education, work experience, art, music, dance and other optional activities such as karate, yoga, swimming, skating and instrumental music are also given adequate importance. The school observes Wednesday as ‘Activity Day’ for the primary section (class I-V).
