Canadian International School (CIS), Bengaluru, recently hosted a vibrant alumni reunion at its Yelahanka campus, bringing together graduates from the Class of 1998 through the Class of 2025. The event served as a celebration of the school’s enduring legacy and its alumni community, which spans continents and professional fields. Former students reunited with classmates, teachers, and mentors, reflecting on shared memories while witnessing the school’s continued growth.
As Bengaluru’s first school to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), CIS highlighted its long-standing commitment to nurturing globally minded and socially responsible learners. This ethos was reflected in the achievements of several alumni present at the reunion.
Among them was a Class of 2016 graduate who, after completing higher education abroad, has returned to India and is now actively engaged in the AI and startup ecosystem. Currently working as a technical consultant with a global technology firm and investing in startups across the EdTech, finance, and AI sectors, he represents a new generation of leaders contributing to India’s innovation landscape.
Another notable alumnus shared her journey of completing medical education and clinical training in the United States before returning to India to establish a rural health clinic. Her work focuses on providing accessible healthcare to underserved communities, addressing critical gaps in both adult and pediatric care.
Speaking on the occasion, CIS Managing Director Shweta Sastri expressed pride in the alumni community. She noted that seeing graduates return to campus and share how they are giving back to society is a strong affirmation of the values instilled at CIS, particularly global citizenship and purposeful leadership.
