The ICSE and ISC semester 2 examinations of 2021-22 will be held in the last week of April in offline mode, Gerry Arathoon, secretary and chief executive of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE)  said on Monday.

The date of commencement of the examinations and the timetables will be announced shortly, he said.

“ The ICSE and ISC semester 2 examinations will be conducted at the end of April. Both the exams will be held in offline mode as we had announced earlier,” Arathoon told EducationWorld.

In a circular issued to heads of all schools, the council said that sufficient time will be provided to the institutions to enable them to complete and revise the entire  portions of the Semester 2 syllabus.

The council today also advised the schools not to conduct the “Pre-Board” examinations for ICSE and ISC candidates before completing and revising the syllabus. The schools have been advised to conduct the Pre-Board examinations preferably between March end and April.

“Schools are further advised not to conduct the “Pre-Board” examinations for the ICSE & ISC candidates unless the syllabuses have been thoroughly revised and completed. Preferably, the “Pre-Board examinations should be conducted between end March end and April,” the circular read.

This is the first batch of students who will write the ICSE and ISC exams in semester system with a bifurcated syllabus. The students had received the results of the Semester 1 examinations on February 7.
