On March 7, New Delhi based DALHAM Foundation, an independent not-for-profit social enterprise, announced the official launch of D-ART entrance exam. A key objective of the exam is to address multiple pain points of both students and institutes, impaired by a legacy admissions process.

The D-ART exam is a first of its kind initiative and a paradigm shift in student assessment and institute admission processes. It will not only form the admissions criteria for partner institutes and universities; it will also double down as a non-standard test designed to encourage students to think critically.

Unlike existing assessment models which examine a students’ problem solving skills with a strong focus on curriculum based questions, the D-ART exam measures a host of additional competencies such as contextual awareness, visualisation, emotional responses, thematic aptitude, among others to give assessors a more holistic evaluation model.

More than 30 leading institutions including Chitkara University, Sharda University, Lovely Professional University, Manav Rachna, World University of Design, are already accepting the examination which is a testament to the need for a streamlined assessment and admissions process beneficial for both students and institutions alike.

Students can access over 250 undergraduate Non-STEM programmes with the DALHAM Assessment Rating Tool (D-ART). The assessment is a two-part combination of offline and online modes with more than 30 test centres already operational across major Tier 1 & 2 cities in India.
