DAV Public School, Sector 14, Gurgaon is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Founded in 1985, DAV Public School, Sector 14, Gurgaon is the oldest school in Gurgaon.
Spread over an area of five acres, DAV Public School, Sector 14, Gurgaon boasts a strength of over 4000 students, 155 teachers and 70 support staff. The school is well known for excellence in academics and co-scholastic areas and aims to “encourage children to be leaders in whatever path they choose”.
The school was the first D.A.V school to bag the prestigious ISO 9002:1994 certificate. It was also awarded the state level second Computer Literacy Excellency Award for the year 2003 by the then President of India, Shri. A.P.J Abdul Kalam on August 4, 2004.
DAV Public School, Sector 14 sprawls over 5 acres and hosts a spacious and air-conditioned auditorium, a conference room and an air conditioned audio visual room that can accommodate around 50 students.
The school hosts a well-stocked library resource center which features a collection of over 50,000 documents, subscription to 106 magazines and journals and 11 national dailies. The classrooms are well-equipped with Smart boards, T.V Screens and L.C.D projectors. The math lab helps children perform mathematical experiments and solve mathematical puzzles that facilitate experiential learning. The school offers separate well equipped labs for physics, biology, chemistry and languages, separate computer labs for primary, middle and senior students connected through local area network, fully equipped for multimedia applications with software required for print and multimedia presentations. The labs provide facilities for audio-visual editing and are also used for animation, stop motion and high end graphic design. Every student from LKG to class XII gets his/her PC to work on in the practical period.
The robotics lab is well equipped with educational robotic kits named Boe-bots, personal computers etc.
The school also offers a counselor room to help children cope up with modern day anxiety and stress, an art room and well equipped music rooms where students are taught vocal and instrumental music.
