DBMS English School, Kadma, Jamshedpur is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. Started in 1965, the school’s first batch passed out in 1975. The school belongs to the Dakshina Bharatha Mahila Samaj, registered under the Registration of Society Act 1960. DBMS English School, Kadma, Jamshedpur boasts 3135 students, 125 faculty members, 25 staff and 35 sub staff members.
DBMS English School aims to provide all students with a well balanced, carefully structured and affordable education to develop to the fullest potential, inquiring minds who can think critically and creatively and possess the skills and competencies to face the challenges of the 21st century.
The school campus hosts a well stocked library with a huge collection of audio-visual aids, well equipped science laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology, two computer labs, and a mathematics lab. The school also houses a book store, Bank of India extension counter, music and dance rooms, canteen and facilities for sports such as basketball, football, volleyball, cricket, handball, Kho Kho etc.
The school curriculum aims at all round development of its students and ample opportunities are provided to the students to excel in academics, athletics, and cultural activities. Affiliated with CISCE, the school offers subjects such as English, Hindi, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, history and civics, geography, commercial studies, economics, computer applications, environmental education, moral science, SUPW and physical education.
Computer science forms an important part of the curriculum for the students of KG-II to class VIII and environmental studies form an important part of the curriculum at the primary level. In the middle school, students need to opt for a third language – Sanskrit/Tamil/Bengali/Gurumukhi.
The third language is assessed for four years from classes IV to VII. At the senior secondary level, science and commerce streams are offered.

The admission period for kindergarten is from October to November. The school opens registration in the month of October and interviews are conducted in November. List of selected candidates is displayed on the third Saturday of January.
The age eligibility for admission to LKG is 3.5 years as on March 31 of the year in which admission is sought.
Admission to other classes is subject to availability.
Class XI admissions are conducted after the announcement of class X board results and selection is purely based on merit.

DBMS English School is the first school in Jamshedpur to offer Biotechnology as a subject to its students at the senior secondary level and also the first school in Jharkhand to receive the International School Award from the British Council in 2010.
Being a day school, DBMS English School, Kadma, Jamshedpur does not offer accommodation facility.
