Like in the previous years, Arvind Kejriwal’s budget for Delhi allocated the maximum funds for education. In the Rs 60,000 crore budget, 26 percent is set aside for education.
Presenting the budget, deputy CM Manish Sisodia, who also hold education portfolio said: “Yes, we are doing politics over education. It is our responsibility to bring education into politics and we want to do it.”
The government plans to felicitate students scoring above 80 per cent marks in Class 10, 11 and 12 examination. Those who score above 80% in class X in government schools and XI and XII in RPVV will get computer tablets.
The budget also promises MBA in Delhi Technological University for people doing family business, a new university for applied sciences and another one for teacher training.
