Delhi: Private schools asked to reimburse tuition fees of minority students

The Aam Aadmi Party government in New Delhi has asked private schools to expedite the online verification process for reimbursement of the tuition fees of minority students. The order has directed all private schools to update the eDistrict portal with the required details. It further stated that inaction from the school management is ‘adversely affecting the motto of Delhi Government regarding timely payment under the scheme to beneficiary student.’

The state government of Delhi has asked all the DDEs to ensure that the online verification of the applications for the state-funded scheme are completed for the Reimbursement of Tuition Fees to the Minority Students of Classes 1 to 12 for the years 2020 -21 and 2021-22. Check the order here 3727_33_dt_12052022.

The schools were asked to complete the reimbursement process by May 12, 2022.

The order has also asked DDE (Zones) to ‘collect a certificate from the concerned schools that the online verification has been done as per the guidelines of the scheme and also issue a certificate under the signature that they have also verified the application at the zonal level as per the guidelines of the scheme.” Officers have been asked to submit these certificates in hard copy at the centres.
