Special assemblies are organised by each class on a rotational basis to spread awareness about important national and international events, various didactic topics, festivals and many other vital concerns of the present day scenario such asconservation of resources, climate change, pollution, security and wellbeing. The most important aspect of the assembly conducted at DPS Azaad Nagar is the participation of the entire class which gives them an opportunity to boost their confidence and shed their inhibitions by speaking, performing, singing, dancing and exhibiting their talent on stage. CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES & CLUBS

DPS Azaad Nagar, at present, runs more than 24 Activity Clubs to boost the creativity of its students. Robotics and Coding Clubs hone the critical thinking and problem solving skills of students, Animation enables the artistically inclined geeks to learn and create their own digital content while Abacus and Vedic Mathematics enhance logical thinking and speed up calculations. Art & Craft, Clay Modelling, Pottery and Painting engage the students aesthetically while Dance and Music nurture their intrinsic talents.

Needle Work helps students discover the joy of creating art work on cloth through myriad stitchesvwhile Non-Fire Cooking and Baking make students self-dependent in preparing their own sumptuous and delicious snacks! The Environment Club, Disaster Management Club and Gardening Club bring the students closer to nature and help them understand its vagaries along with the management of natural resources.

Debate Club and Dramatics Club unleash the speakers and actors in them while Community Service teaches compassion by engaging children to work with the underprivileged, organising cleanliness drives and spreading awareness through campaigns such as ‘each one – teach one’ and ‘say no to plastic’.

MEGA EVENTS

DPS Azaad Nagar organises several mega events throughout the academic year with JOSH, CONCORDMUN, JASHN, and GLOBAL FIESTA being the much awaited events for the school fraternity of Kanpur. CONCORD Model United Nations (MUN) is one of the most popular MUNs being conducted in the city wherein today’s youth and the future of the country ponder over various national and international issues through lively debates anddiscussions. The eventis managed entirely by the Student Organizing Committee of DPS Azaad Nagar and concludes with the Students’ Executive Board felicitating the outstanding orators for their contribution and impact on the event.

The Annual Concert JASHN is a widely acclaimed and applauded panorama of the co-curricular and artistic talent of the students of DPSAzaad Nagar. The event witnesses a large and august gathering of parents and guests who are mesmerised by the enthralling performances of the school choir, orchestra, talented actors, dancers and the pre-primary prodigies.
