Delhi Public School (DPS), Bokaro, Steel City was promoted in 1987 under the aegis of Delhi Public School Society, a non-profit making society. It is a co-educational English medium day school, affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school follows the motto ‘Service before Self’ and runs a charitable school for under privileged children.
The school boasts two campuses in the city – the junior wing, which is located in Sector 5, caters to students from nursery to class V and the senior wing, which is located in the heart of the city in Sector 4, caters to students from classes VI to XII.
The school offers well stocked libraries and well equipped computer labs in both the campuses. It also offers science labs, math lab, language lab, audio-visual lab, quiz lab and photography lab besides a full-size play ground with football field, cricket pitch and volleyball, basketball, kho-kho & kabaddi courts. A gymnasium, a swimming pool and indoor games facilities are also offered.
DPS, Bokaro is affiliated with CBSE and offers education from nursery to class XII. Higher secondary students can choose between science and commerce streams.
Extracurricular: The school has a very active music, art and craft and physical education department. It offers sports facilities such as cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, badminton and kho-kho. Indoor games include chess, carom and table tennis.
