Delhi Public School (DPS), Ludhiana is a co-educational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi and offers schooling from nursery to class XII.
Founded in 2004, DPS Ludhiana was the third collaborative effort between Takshila Educational Society and DPS Society, which boasts one of the largest chains of CBSE schools in India. The school offers a learning environment that focuses on the holistic development of individuals by cultivating their unique talents.
The eco-friendly DPS Ludhiana campus sprawls over 7.8 acres in village Ayali Kalan, Ludhiana. The neatly planned campus hosts well ventilated airy classrooms, outdoor theater, swimming pools, cafeteria, spacious courtyards for indoor games, and a beautifully landscaped lawn. The school houses a well-equipped activity block, learning centers, audio visual rooms, resource centre, sports complex – indoor-table tennis, lawn tennis court, swimming pool, basketball court, environmental and science labs for physics, chemistry, biology, MET station and computer labs, art and craft rooms for the senior and junior wings respectively. The resource center is stocked with books, both fictional and non-fictional for students as well as teachers and has a subscription to several journals which are updated regularly.
Realizing the need to create scientific temper and cultivate the spirit of curiosity and innovation among young minds the school has a setup of Atal Tinkering Lab. It is a work space where young minds can give shape to their ideas through do-it-yourself approach. Students get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand what, how and why aspects of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) thus foster curiosity, creativity and imagination and inculcate skills such as design mind-set, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc.
Solar lights are used at the main area to save electricity. The most modern waste segregation and recycling practices are used in the school. The school campus is eco-friendly and has an on-campus waste recycling plant that produces paper.
The school transportation facility comprises a fleet of 28 buses with well-trained drivers and assistants.
DPS Ludhiana is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. The curriculum followed in junior and senior classes are based on NCERT guidelines. Till class V the curriculum is thematic based so as to integrate various subjects with a common thread which pertains to practical aspects of life. From class VI onwards, formal subjects are introduced including physics, chemistry, biology and political science, among others.
Co-Curricular: DPS Ludhiana encourages co-curricular programs as an integral part of its curriculum. Co-curricular program is implemented through Thursday Activities and SUPW sessions held every Friday. Besides these, there are several off-campus programs include night camps, excursions, educational trips and inter and intra school competitions.

Being a day school, DPS Ludhiana does not provide hostel facility.
