An alumnus of Symbiosis University, Pune who completed his training in educational leadership from IIM Ahmedabad, Mr. Sachdeva has acquired over two and a half decades’ rich experience in teaching and institutional administration of which 14 years as the principal of reputed K-12 institutions. Prior to taking charge as the principal of Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok in August 2021, he helmed Delhi Public School, Bopal, Ahmedabad (February 2014-August 2021), Indore (January 2009-February 2014) and Vasant Kunj (1995-January 2009). He has also served as the city coordinator/chief nodal officer for CBSE administered examinations and national entrance exams such as JEE, CTET, and UGC NET, among others. His keen interest in exploring foreign education system and policies led Mr. Sachdeva to visit several schools and universities abroad including Delhi Private School (Dubai), New South Wales Department of Education and Communities (Australia), Atlantic Canadian Universities and Colleges (Canada) and Coral Secondary School (Singapore, Australia and USA). He also participated at the World Education Leadership Symposium 2019 hosted at Zug, Switzerland.

State-of-the-art infrastructure aligned with inclusive ethos

Designed by well-known Delhi-based architect Roopak Kothari, Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok’s aesthetically designed 5-acre campus offers a “safe and caring environment that enables children to blossom into well-rounded young adults ready to take on the world”.

The pollution-free campus is among the first in the city to host a rain-water harvesting plant and a roof-top solar power system. Two red-brick buildings — one each for the junior and senior schools — house 103 well-ventilated TFT (thin-film transistor) enabled digital Smart classrooms, three state-of-the-art multi-purpose auditoriums, separate computer labs for junior and senior students, well-equipped science labs, two air-conditioned libraries stocked with 25,600 volumes, and a robotics lab.

• In the 2021 CBSE class XII board exam, 56 percent students averaged 90 percent and above.

• Sarthak Maheshwari (2021-22 batch) is the only student in Haryana to have scored cent percent in JEE Mains 2022.
• Sia Kapoor of class VII qualified for the final round of National Annual Youth Fest, ‘Harmony 2021’ organised by The Global Education and Leadership Foundation.
• Rajveer Bembi of class VIII was crowned Man of the Match and Man of the Series in several U-13 cricket matches hosted by Push Cricket Academy and is on his way to compete at the national level.
• Jhanvi Jain of class V was among the top rank holders in Aryabhatta Mathematics Competition 2022 and was awarded a merit certificate.
• Sarthak Maheshwari and Yavnika Bansal of class XI   cracked the prestigious KVPY-2020 exam.
• Diya Gupta of class IX was the national winner in ‘India at 75: Heritage in our Hands’ art competition organised by INTACH in 2022.
• Sanvi Arora of class XI bagged Gold while Kajal Pahil (XII), Ananya Prashanth Mani (XI), Meher Singh (X), and Devansh Khandelwal (XI) bagged Silver and Vikhram Karthik (VII) bagged Bronze at the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2021.
• Aaheli Goswami (class VIII) bagged the third position  in the ATL Internship Program, hosted by the SRF Foundation, NITI AAYOG and IBM in 2021. 
• At the South Asian and South West Taekwondo Championship 2016 held in Bengaluru, Delhi Public School Sushant Lok won 21 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals.
