Delhi University’s SOL to start new online courses from next year

DU's executive council to meet on Friday to discuss admission procedures

Delhi University’s School Of Open Learning (SOL) will start five online courses from next year January. The courses include B.A Programme, B.Com, English Honours, Political Science Honours and B.Com Honours. These subjects will be offered in online mode. Professor C S Dubey, Director of SOL said, “We will be starting the five courses from January next year. These courses will not only be open for students from India but also for students from other countries.”

The courses have been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). There were 22 universities that had applied for starting online courses but the UGC gave the go-ahead only to four universities, out of which, one is Delhi University. The online course is aimed at attracting global students who would be able to access the course material from the University’s website.
