The Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS) is a private co-educational day school in Mumbai, Maharashtra affiliated with the CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations), CAIE (Cambridge Assessment International Education) and the IB (International Baccalaureate) boards. The school was built by Reliance Industries and named after the late patriarch, Dhirubhai Ambani. It was established in 2003 and has been an IB World School since then.
It is one of 37 in India that offers the International Baccalaureate Program in its diploma form. Nita Ambani, wife of Mukesh Ambani is the chairperson of the school. The school is known for a very high grade average in both the IB diploma program and IGCSE. IB results have been extremely strong right from the first graduating class.
The school building is seven storied with lawns, landscaped gardens and playgrounds. The school premises house 130,000 square feet of teaching space containing classrooms and laboratories.
Dhirubhai Ambani International School is situated at Bandra-Kurla Complex, which is a fast growing business district in Mumbai. The school is also a member of the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP).
In classes LKG to VII, the school follows an integrated curriculum of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations and international examination boards. The school is a member of the Cambridge International Primary Programme.
In class VIII-X, students prepare for either the ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) or the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) stream, one of which they will study in classes IX and X. It is accredited with IB, Geneva to deliver the IB diploma programme to students in classes XI and XII.
Extracurricular:
The sporting activities offered at the school include aerobics, athletics, badminton, basketball, chess, cricket, football, hill walking and camp craft, judo, rugby, salsa, table tennis, taekwondo, rope malkhamb, throwball, volleyball, jazz dancing and yoga. All students undergo two outdoor camps over the year – experiencing the different outdoor life skills and challenge themselves to mastering specialized techniques like rock-climbing, rappelling and mountaineering.

For admission to LKG & Class VIII the ‘Application for Admission’ form can be obtained from the school’s Admissions Office. For admission to class VIII, the student must have completed class VII at a recognized school before joining Dhirubhai Ambani International School.
