Doon International School, Mohali is a co-educational, residential school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Founded in 2004, Doon International School, Mohali is is the only branch of the reputed Doon International School – Dehradun. The school is based on the philosophy and teachings of Jiddu Krishnamurti (1895-1986), a prominent thinker-philosopher-teacher, with an aim to establish an institution that unfettered young minds and gave them an opportunity to express their creativity in an environment of liberalism and knowledge.
The school boasts 1400 students from nursery to class XII who hail not only from India but also from various parts of the world including North America, UK, South East Asia, Brunei, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh.

At senior school (Classes IX to XII), student are prepared for their CBSE Board Examinations of class X and XII. The school aims to provide a scholarly yet stress-free environment for the students. The senior school students are also offered guidance and counseling. Specialised courses of study in class XI and XII are offered to prepare students for the career of their choice.

The school’s academic year begins on April 1 every year and all admission formalities are completed before that date. However limited vacancies may exist in the middle of the academic year.
Interested parents should obtain a copy of the prospectus by writing to the school office; the registration form enclosed within the prospectus must be submitted along with registration fee so that a child’s name may be registered on the waiting list for the year and class for which admission is sought.
The school conducts an entrance examination and the dates for the same are communicated well in advance by the school admissions office. Offers for admission are made on the basis of the results of these examinations and depends on the number of vacancies in each class.
In the case of overseas applicants, an offer of admission may be made on the basis of the previous academic performance of the child. Parents of overseas applicants must provide documentary and duly attested evidence to the school that the child has obtained the desired level of academic excellence. The school requires details of the academic record of the student, current mark sheets and a letter of recommendation from a teacher.
