ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2022-23
The Annual Sports Meet of Delhi Public School, Harni was organised on December 2, 2022. The school hosted one of its signature events after a hiatus of two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The school’s Annual Sports Meet embodies the zeal, talent and spirit of sportsmanship of the students, encouraging them to be persistent and to refine their talent, achieving the greatest of heights.
The most anticipated event of the year commenced with the arrival of the distinguished chief guests Ms. Krishna Pandya, district sports development officer, Vadodara (Secondary Section) and Mr. Ravindra Singh Rajpurohit, assistant professor, Department of Advance Training & Coaching, Swarnim Gujarat Sports University, Gandhinagar.
The sports meet was inaugurated by the chief guest followed by the torch run by the best sportspersons of the 2019–2020 academic year. The audience were thrilled by the march past presented by the four houses. The head girl and the deputy commander administered the oath.
The audience were in for a visual treat as the pre-primary students danced to the rhythmic beats of zumba. The event showcased dumbbells drill, lezim drill, karate and few aerobic exercises by the students of primary and secondary students.
The chief guest Ms. Krishna Pandya gave away the prizes and felicitated the winners of the various sports events. She addressed the students stressing on the need to imbibe qualities of discipline, sportsmanship spirit and to never be disappointed by failure in life, while thanking the entire teaching fraternity who had taught her.
ANNUAL AWARD CEREMONY CLASS X (2021-22)
Delhi Public School, Harni organised its Annual Award Ceremony on January 6, 2023 to felicitate the achievers of the 2022 Class X CBSE batch.
In all, 124 students received the awards in various categories. Dr. Ranjitsinh V. Devkar Asst. Professor of Zoology, Department of Zoology, M.S. University Vadodara was the esteemed chief guest for the day.
The parents and teachers applauded the hard work of the students and the chief guest encouraged them to keep striving for the best in future endeavours also.
BLESSING CEREMONY
Blessing Ceremony for classes X and XII was held on the occasion of Basant Panchami, January 26, 2023. Teachers and students assembled in the Totlot area for the puja and havan.
The programme commenced with a soulful rendition of the Saraswati Vandana by the teachers of the Visual and Performing Arts Department. The Havan Ceremony was performed with divine fervour and spirituality. The commemoration ended with the Tilak Ceremony.
BASANT PANCHAMI
Basant Panchami is an occasion which marks the onset of the ‘Spring Season’. It is also celebrated to worship Goddess Saraswati, the symbol of knowledge and wisdom.
DPS Harni celebrated Basant Panchami on January 25, 2023 in the school premises. On this occasion, the tiny tots of classes I and II began the auspicious day with prayer and offered yellow flowers to Maa Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom and knowledge. Children were enlightened about the relevance of celebrating this festival.
Students were also dressed in yellow and brought yellow food items. Various activities were held. The joy of spring took over when the students displayed their talents through dance, drama, and song performances in their classroom.
