DPS International School, Saket, New Delhi (DPSI) is a coeducational international day school offering education from nursery to class XII (A Level) and is affiliated with the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), UK.
DPSI was promoted in 2003 by the DPS Society, envisioning the growing need for international education in India. The primary/junior section of the school is sited on a separate campus in RK Puram, New Delhi.
The objective of DPSI is to “Prepare children to become self reliant, productive individuals with clarity, precision and independence. To inspire children to embrace challenge and find joy and self worth through achievement.”
DPS International School, Saket, campus offers contemporary facilities such as spacious classrooms equipped with modern teaching aids, separate well equipped labs for physics, chemistry, biology and environmental science, a language lab, IT labs equipped with the latest computers, a well stocked library featuring over 20,000 books, journals and magazines, apart from international publications and CDs, an auditorium with a seating capacity of 500, a canteen and a book/stationery shop.
Medical facilities include a doctor and trained nurse available on the school premises during the school hours. Transport is available taking into account the number of children from a particular area wishing to use the school bus facility.
DPS International School, Saket is affiliated with the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), UK and integrates the best practices from both the national and international curriculum in the primary and middle school curriculum.
For the primary grades (I to V), the school offers a comprehensive curriculum along the lines of the National Curriculum of England which facilitates a smooth transition to the middle school years.
A healthy blend of the best of the international curriculum with the long-established national curriculum is offered for grades VI, VII and VIII, with a view to lay a strong foundation for the IGCSE and GCE ‘A’ Level curriculum.
Classes IX, X, XI and XII are exclusively devoted to the Cambridge curriculum. Grades IX and X follow a two-year programme leading to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations at the end of grade X, while grades XI and XII follow a two-year course leading to the Cambridge International A Level (advanced level) examinations at the end of grade XII, both under the aegis of CAIE, UK.
