Delhi Public School, Mihan, Nagpur organised the fifth edition of its Model United Nations conference, MIMUN 5.0, on 22–23 November 2025. The event was held on the theme “Responsible Deliberation on Sustainable Pathways for a Sustainable Future” and aimed to build problem-solving and critical-thinking skills among students.
The conference opened on 22 November with a ceremony attended by Prof Ankita Dash of IIM Nagpur as Chief Guest. Guest of Honour Tulika Kedia, President and Pro Vice-Chairperson of DPS Mihan and Kamptee Road, and Director Savita Jaiswal addressed the gathering online. Principal Nidhi Yadav welcomed the delegates and underscored the role of informed dialogue and responsible leadership in addressing global issues. The Deputy Secretary-General, Pranav Raj, formally declared the conference open.
Around 320 delegates from 50 schools and colleges across Maharashtra participated in the two-day event. Committees included UNSC, UNHRC, UNGA, UNCSW, WHO, Lok Sabha, FIFA, IPL, IP, and fictional bodies such as the Galactic Council and Demon Slayer, offering students opportunities to deliberate and build consensus on a range of agendas.
The Valedictory Ceremony on 23 November concluded the conference. Kanha Jaiswal, Co-Founder of Rachel Café and Founder of Pours & Plate and Matra Café, attended as Chief Guest. Cultural performances by the school’s dance troupe, choir, and band marked the closing event.
