ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2022-23

Delhi Public School Vadodara celebrates its Annual Sports Day to display the prowess of each student, to provide a platform to showcase their innate talents and the skills.
The Sports Day is organised for the Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary and Senior Secondary students. After a month-long selection round at Inter House Level, the winners are chosen for the finals to participate on the Sports Day.
Annual Sports Day 2022-23 was celebrated with renewed enthusiasm and zeal after the lull of two years, caused by the pandemic. An array of Track events- races 100mts, 400mts, relay races for all the five groups from primary to secondary, field events like shotput, discus throw, long jump and high jump were conducted for both the boys and girls.
March Past is an integral part of the Sports Day Celebration as it displays the discipline, coordination and unspoken alertness. It was the rigorous practice in the sun and determination and passion for their respective houses, that brought finesse to the March Past. All the four Houses (Honesty, Unity, Equality, Sincerity) led by the NCC Cadets followed by the School Council members, marched harmoniously and rhythmically in tune with the beat of the drum. The balloons that were released into the air for declaring the Sports Meet open, were in sync with the soaring spirits and zeal of the students.
The chief guest for the day was Shri Dinesh Kadam, Deputy Sports Officer Rural Vadodara, a former National Hockey Player and a Naval officer. While addressing the students, the chief guest urged them to give importance to sports along with academics, as they have the power to change the body, mind and attitude as well.
The tiny tots of Pre-Primary participated in a variety of events like getting ready for school, eating a banana, and other track events. The parent fraternity is the most valuable component of every activity that is conducted by as they are the stakeholders along with the school, in shaping up the child’s future.
The participation by the parents cheered their wards and motivated them. Secondary and senior secondary students displayed power, strength and grit in the finale of the races. The sprinters were cheered by a roar of applaud by their respective Houses.
The principal Dr. A.K. Sinha exhorted the students to continue participating in sports so as to be fit, healthy and disciplined.
BLESSING CEREMONY
Basant Panchami is an auspicious day for the Academic fraternity as it is celebrated as Saraswati Pooja Day, seeking blessings of the goddess in their endeavors. It also marks the advent of spring, where the air is filled with pleasantness, sweet smell of the new leaves and blossoms.
Havan performed on the auspicious day of Basant Panchami celebrates the day to invoke the blessings of the Lord Almighty and to uphold the tradition of seeking blessings from the gurus.
The Blessing Ceremony was followed by Farewell, bidding adieu to the class XII students by their Juniors. It was a moment of nostalgic feelings when the students realised that now they would be stepping out into a new world, facing real challenges leaving the safe cocoon of the school.
The nostalgia filled speeches delivered by the students and the advices of their caring teachers made the day memorable and emotional.
A ‘Good Bye’ is a promise to see again, some where some time!!
ANNUAL EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2022-23

Delhi Public School Vadodara acknowledges, honours and felicitates the achievers in various fields (curricular and co-curricular).
Annual Awards 2022-23 was an event much looked forward to by the students as it was being organised offline after two years of lull due to the pandemic. The awards ceremony witnessed more than 670 awardees being felicitated for their mettle in academics and other fields.
Students who qualified for The Certificate of Laureate, Subject Proficiencies Awards and Scholar Badges were honoured with trophies, badges and certificates. The list included the toppers of CBSE board examinations for classes X and XII for years 2019-20 & 2021-22.
It was an honour and a proud moment for Delhi Public School Vadodara, when students Jia Trivedi and Aditya Bhagat, cadets of the 3rd Gujarat Batallion NCC Fatehgunj were selected for the Republic Day Parade. It was an exhilarating moment when Jia was awarded gold medal for the best cadet in the Parade.
As the youngest cadets to represent the state in the glorious event, the two cadets made not only their school but entire Gujarat proud.
