DPSG student secures Rs. 3 crore Tata Scholarship for Cornell University

Ashee B. Bansaal, the twelfth-grade student and school captain at Delhi Public School Ghaziabad (DPSG), Meerut Road, has achieved a significant milestone by securing admission to Cornell University (Cornell College of Engineering) through the early decision round. Notably, she has been awarded the distinguished Tata Scholarship, a comprehensive grant totaling Rs. 3 Crores over four years, covering tuition fees, housing, food, books, and other living expenses.

Inspired by her teachers, Ashee’s journey into the world of innovation began with her passion for science, leading her to create the groundbreaking ‘Safety Shoe.’ This invention, designed with features focused on enhancing the safety of women and children, has gained recognition not only within her school but also from local authorities.

DPSG schools, known for their esteemed faculty, have played a crucial role in shaping the lives of generations of students. The School Principal, Capt. (Dr) Dinisha Bhardwaj Singh, commended Ashee’s accomplishments and extended heartfelt congratulations, expressing anticipation for her continued success at Cornell University.

Ashee is an AP Scholar with Distinction, secured AIR 2 in CBSE Grade 10 Board exams in 2022, and has received accolades in International Olympiads, along with the NTSE scholarship. She is also the author of ‘Silent Voices, Loud Whispers,’ a book containing 100 poems available worldwide. Ashee’s achievements, including memberships in The New York Academy of Sciences Junior Academy and 1000 Girls 1000 Futures Mentorship Program, reflect her commitment to excellence and innovation. These accomplishments played a pivotal role in her receiving the prestigious Tata Scholarship from Cornell University.
