According to an official release on January 11, Dr Saji Gopinath has been appointed as the Dean, School of Management of Bennett University, Greater Noida; an initiative of the Times Group. He brings along with him a rich experience of more than 30 years in the field of education, leadership and management. In his present role he will spearhead Bennett University’s MBA programme, application for which is now open.
He joins Bennett University from IIM Kozhikode (IIMK), where he was Dean-Academics for four years. During this period he had set up a satellite centre of the institute in Kochi to enhance its footprint in the executive education space.
Speaking about the association, Dr Gopinath said, “It’s a great honour to be part of such a prestigious institution and I wish to thank the management for having faith in me for this crucial role. These are exciting times in the fields of higher education and I am hopeful Bennett University will lead from the front and provide the ideal platform for world-class education in India.”

In his previous role, Dr Gopinath served as the director of T.A. Pai Management Institute for two years and played a key role in getting the coveted AACSB accreditation for the institute. Earlier, he was a professor at IIMK for 17 years and a faculty at the National Institute of Technology for eight years. He has graduated from the University of Kerala and completed his post graduation and Doctorate from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. A multi-faceted personality, he specialises in the fields of Operations Management, Strategic Management and Information Technology.
