Lotus Valley International invites student applications for pre-nursery to class IX for the academic year beginning April 2006. Spread over 12.5 acres on a lush green campus on the outskirts of Delhi, Lotus Valley International School, Noida (LVIS) is a global school offering facilities of international standard. The school propagates “Indian culture and values seasoned with the best from the occident”. In its centrally air-conditioned building, it provides a comfortable ambience for children to receive education. In addition to games such as football, cricket and basketball the school is training children in horse riding, tennis and golf. A gymnasium has been constructed and a swimming pool is under construction. Inside the school’s classrooms, the teaching-learning process is aided by hi-tech facilities like smart boards, projectors and 3-D clippings on all subjects. The school’s trinitarian philosophy i.e head, heart and hand, is amply visible in the classrooms. “The focus of the school is on “man-making” by refining moral, ethical, human and spiritual values with pursuit of excellence as the leitmotif. Conventional education often makes the mistake of inordinately exalting intellect over emotions and other life skills like problem solving, communication, creativity, critical thinking, empathy, interpersonal dealings with the result that children know a lot of facts but lack the inner contentment and fulfillment of a well-developed person. Lotus Valley endeavours to rectify this imbalance,” says S.C. Arora, vice chairman of LVIS.
