Education Minister to discuss CBSE board exams 2021 with teachers today

The Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ will interact with teachers during a live discussion on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at 4 pm via Twitter. He is expected to discuss the upcoming CBSE board exams 2021 for classes 10 and 12 regarding the schedule and mode of conduct of the exams.

The Minister has asked teachers to join the webinar and share their queries using #EducationMinistergoeslive. He released a video on Monday where he lauded teachers for going beyond their call of duty to teach students during the pandemic and told students of the CBSE board examinations 2021 how to conduct exams if the situation normalises.

The minister was earlier slated to go live on 17 December but his interaction was postponed due to “overwhelming response”.

Pokhriyal said that no decision on board or entrance exam dates have been taken but assured students that the ministry would try its best to avoid a clash between practicals and other entrance exams.

Pokhriyal had earlier conducted a live webinar on December 10 addressing students’ concerns regarding the upcoming board and competitive exams. There were many questions raised by students regarding the conduct of JEE, NEET and CBSE board examinations amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the webinar, he stated the board exam dates will be announced much before the commencement of the exam. The practical exam will be held at the school level. In case, schools are not able to conduct practicals due to the pandemic, alternative solutions will be made. If similar conditions continue, an extension of board exam dates will be considered.
