The 67th SGFI National Table Tennis U-19 Boys and Girls Tournament 2023-24 was successfully hosted by the Indian Public Schools’ Conference (IPSC) at The Emerald Heights International School from January 15th to 18th, 2024.
This marked the first time in the history of Indore that such an event was organized, attracting over 350 players from 33 states across the country. Dedicated to the under-19 boys and girls categories, the tournament commenced with a grand opening ceremony. Traditional dances representing various Indian states were showcased in the Colors of India segment, highlighting the nation’s rich cultural heritage. Additionally, a ceremonial march past by all participating teams added to the event’s grandeur.
The presence of Chief Guest, Mr. Siddharth Singh, Director of Emerald Heights, and Mr. Rakesh Kumar Singh, Field Officer, added prestige to the occasion. Matches were held at the state-of-the-art Maharana Pratap Sports Complex, with thirty officials efficiently overseeing the championship under the guidance of international referee, Mr. RC Morya.
