Amid the Covid19 pandemic and lockdown, children’s and families lives across the world have been upended with schools, businesses and everything shut down. Instead of losing temper, it is the time to make memories. As parents, it is important to stay grounded and calm, be responsible. Balancing screen time, learning from children and letting them learn from you are some of the solutions. During this times of uncertainty, it’s natural for children to feel anxious and worry. Hence, EducationWorld conducted a live webinar with some of the most esteemed educators and parenting experts on ‘Parenting youngest children (3-8 years) in the lockdown age‘.

Summiya Yasmeen, who is the Managing Editor, EducationWorld & ParentsWorld, was the moderator and took the audience through the various relevant topics followed by a Q and A session.

The list of panelists included Sue Atkins, UK-based internationally recognised parenting expert, broadcaster, speaker and author of Parenting Made Easy — How to Raise Happy Children. She spoke on the topic, Managing children’s temper tantrums’.

Dr. Kannan Gireesh, well-known psychiatrist and psychotherapist and founder of Live Life Education Pvt. Ltd, who has done some amazing work in the area of mental health for children as well as educators. Her topic was on ‘Don’t fall into the child abuse trap!’

Amrita Rajpal a highly experienced educator who has helped set up over 200 schools, Founder- CEO of Edukart and territory Head – Mumbai, ECA India and a passionate early childhood educator. She spoke on ‘Keeping preschool children engaged and cheerful’

Fatema Agarkar, Parenting expert & Co-founder, Agarkar Centre for Excellence. She spoke on ‘Protecting youngest children against digital addiction’

Kusum Kanwar, Managing director, Kangaroo Kids, Kandivali and Kangaroo Kids, Lokhandwala preschools, who talked about ‘Don’t be afraid of child boredom’

Our special invitee was Dr Swati Popat Vats, President, Early Childhood Association.
