An FIR has been filed against a former MLC, who serves as the manager of a private school, for allegedly assaulting a Class 12 girl student, as stated by an officer on Wednesday.
Sudhir Jaiswal, Additional Superintendent of Police (City), confirmed receiving a complaint from a 17-year-old Class 12 student at a private Inter College. The student accused the institute’s manager, Sanjay Mishra, of hitting her with a stick. The complaint further asserted that the assault occurred due to her absence from school, attributable to family issues.
The FIR was lodged at the Ramchandra Mission Police Station on Tuesday, and the case is currently under investigation. Sanjay Mishra, a former Member of Legislative Council, refuted the allegations of physically assaulting the girl. He stated that he had only admonished her for being absent from school for more than 20 days in recent months, dismissing the accusations of physical abuse as baseless.
