Family Fitness

Setting aside time to go to the gym, or signing children up for sports and games training may not fit into your schedule through the year. But a family exercising together could work. Instead of figuring out when to leave the family and hit the gym, you can have your kids urging you to work out with them. Some suggestions. First, get a gym trainer to help you draw up a fitness programme. Fix a regular time for working out every day, and get family members to keep that time aside, disallowing all other activities. Keep a skipping rope, badminton racquet and other sports equipment which can be used at home, garden or neighbourhood park. Go running, jogging and/or walking together and watch fitness videos on the net together to remain motivated. Invite a sports coach occasionally to teach you new skills. The whole family will feel energetic and revitalised.
