Fast Forward Education, ALfA education event lights up Lucknow

On the 18th of September 2023, CMS (City Montessori School), LDA, Lucknow, hosted an event called as the Fast Forward Education ALfA, short for ‘Accelerating Learning for All,’ at WUCC Auditorium which was organized by DEVI Sansthan. ALfA, short for ‘Accelerating Learning for All,’ is an innovative methodology that has undergone years of development, rooted in research conducted with underprivileged children and in the laboratory school of City International School, Manas City, Indira Nagar.

According to the school’s press release esteemed educationists from across Lucknow graced the event, gathering to witness the transformation ALfA brings to the classroom. The highlight was the demonstration of exemplary work by teachers from CMS, CIS (City International School), and Hoerner College in ALfA classrooms. These dedicated educators shared their experiences of implementing the ALfA methodology, highlighting its significant impact on student engagement and fostering happier learning environments.

The event featured a quiz, hands-on activities, and peer assessments, allowing all present to experience the methodology firsthand. Audience members were paired randomly, reflecting the ALfA approach to accelerated learning, resulting in diverse individuals coming together to enjoy the pleasures of learning.

ALfA, already implemented by the Global Education and Training Institute (GETI) and DEVI Sansthan in approximately 800 government schools in Uttar Pradesh and Odisha, has expanded rapidly, reaching 12 other countries across five continents. This methodology represents a fundamental shift in education, enabling students to acquire foundational skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic at an accelerated pace. Teachers serve as catalysts, and students collaborate in pairs, fostering an environment that nurtures independent learning.
