Billabong High International School organized Bhagwan Das Memorial inter-house football tournament on September 22, in which the four houses – Equality, Freedom, Peace and Unity – participated with great zeal and a true spirit of sportsmanship. Unity emerged as the winner.
The first semi-final was played between Unity and Freedom which Unity won convincingly with a score of 2-0. The second semi-final was played between Equality and Peace. The game was extremely captivating as both the teams displayed tremendous skill and speed. It ended in a draw and a tie-breaker; Peace took advantage and won the match with a score of 6-5.
The final match was played between Unity and Peace. While the first half yielded no result, the odds were in favour of Peace. Both teams struggled hard to set the advantage and long passes marked the game. Finally, a tie-breaker decided the fate of the trophy winner, which was Unity, with a narrow score of 5-4.
Harshvardhan Rastogi was declared the ‘Man of the Tournament’.
