While the Goa minister cancelled all exams up to Class 8 on Tuesday, a circular issued by Goa Education Director Vandana Rao informed that exams for Classes 9 to 11 will be held as per schedule. The schools have been asked to seat students one metre apart from each other. She said the decision was as per the guidelines laid down by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

On a similar note, CBSE will be conducting classes 10 and 12 exams. The Class 10 exams will end on March 20 while the Class 12 exams will end on March 30. A directive has been issued stating students are allowed to carry masks and sanitisers to the exam centres. Besides, everything is available at the centres as well. The boards have also issued a circular prescribing the centres to maintain one-metre distance between two students.

On the other hand, Kendriya Vidyalayas in Delhi will be announcing the annual examination results through email and WhatsApp this year. A senior Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) official said, “Parents will be given results this year through email and WhatsApp. Any discussion or queries about their ward’s performance can be pursued with teachers telephonically or after the schools reopen.” Kendriya Vidyalayas are closed till March 31.
