Greenwood High hosts regional round of World Scholar’s Cup 2025

Greenwood High International School, Sarjapur Campus, proudly hosted the Regional Round of the World Scholar’s Cup 2025 on January 18 and 19, bringing together nearly 600 scholars from prestigious schools, including Inventure Academy, Oakridge International, Mallya Aditi International, The International School Bangalore, and Vidyashilp Academy.

The two-day academic event provided students with a unique platform to engage in teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity while competing in four key events: Scholar’s Bowl, Collaborative Writing, Scholar’s Challenge, and Team Debate. The 2025 theme, “Reigniting the Future,” encouraged participants to explore diverse ideas and push their intellectual boundaries.

The World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) is an international competition designed to inspire students of all backgrounds to discover new strengths and develop essential academic and leadership skills. With over 15,000 participants worldwide, WSC integrates academic and social elements across six subject areas: History, Social Studies, Science & Technology, Art & Music, Literature & Media, and Special Topics.

Teams of three students competed in rigorous challenges, demonstrating their knowledge application, persuasion skills, and teamwork. Qualifying teams from this Regional Round will advance to the Global Round, with top performers earning a spot at the Tournament of Champions at Yale University.

The event left participants with unforgettable memories, newfound friendships, and a wealth of knowledge, reinforcing the WSC’s vision of making learning a joyful, inclusive, and interdisciplinary experience.
