Bengaluru, July 25. Harrow International School, Bengaluru (HISB) is all set to welcome on its 60-acre campus its first batch of 100 students mentored by 24 highly qualified teachers on August 16.
Speaking with EducationWorld, HISB’s founding headmaster Andrew Leale said: “We will strive to provide our students a nurturing education at Harrow Bengaluru as we believe that students perform best in school when they are well-cared for. While our founding student community comprises 60 percent Indian and 40 percent international, our faculty is composed of 40 percent Indian and 60 percent international a third of whom are Oxbridge graduates, adding to the cultural diversity for which Harrow is known for.”
“Two weeks ago, a special induction program was conducted in Harrow UK for our 24 new international faculty as the first step into great learning and connectivity. Expertise and best practices were shared between Harrow UK teachers and the new teachers,” he adds.
At a private event at the Four Seasons Hotel on the evening of July 24, Adam Hart, Harrow School Governor, Director — Harrow, and headmaster Andrew Leale, interacted with a select group of founding students and their families from HISB’s inaugural batch.
Speaking about the event, Hart said “The excitement was palpable. I couldn’t quite make out if the parents were more excited or the children. Such aspirational parents and children as young as in grade 6 and 7. I was surprised with their positive responses when I asked them what they wanted to do after Harrow. Clearly Harvard, Oxford and Cambridge are their future goals already.”
“As a former student, I can attest to the life-long impact of a Harrow education and the values that continue to guide me to this day. What makes Harrow unique is not just its long-standing traditions and its commitment to excellence, but also the individual attention it provides to every student,” he added.
