Harsirjan Singh Ahuja, a Grade VII student of Sat Paul Mittal School, Ludhiana has been recognized by India Book of Records for developing UV-21: A shadowing Disinfecting Robot which can work in unmanned environments using WiFi network.
This robot can kill bacteria using UVC and can be controlled with the help of Wi-Fi through a 360˚ camera. Robotic disinfection will work in an unmanned and standardized fashion, without the need of the on-going human presence at the disinfection site. The robot aims at preventing and reducing the spread of infectious and harmful microorganisms by destroying their DNA structure with UV lights. With a larger wavelength, the robot kills bacteria in public places, such as hospitals, office spaces, schools, airports, etc. UV Disinfection Robot is designed to aid cleaning staff on a daily basis, while eliminating human error. In global COVID-19 pandemic UV21 reduce the risk of infections and human contact.
A dedicated and passionate young technocrat, Harsirjan came up with a brilliant idea to fight the requirement of manually cleaning the bacteria or virus present in the air, during the Covid situation. The device is extremely useful as the ‘UV21 robot’ can kill Bacteria using UVC, which can be controlled with the help of Wi-Fi through a 360˚camera thus enabling it to be controlled without human contact.
Bhupinder Gogia, Principal, Sat Paul Mittal School, congratulated Harsirjan for a remarkable feat. “It takes a village to raise a child”. Kudos to teachers and parents for helping Harsirjan to achieve this important milestone.
