Haryana: School watchman’s commits suicide, charges against principal and teachers

A 57-year-old watchman employed at a government school in Karsindhu village of Jind, Haryana, reportedly took his own life on Thursday through hanging, as stated by the police. The deceased, identified as Rishipal from Mandi Kalan village in Uchana block, served as a sweeper and watchman at the Government Senior Secondary School in Karasindhu village. He was discovered hanging within a schoolroom on Thursday.

Following the discovery of a suicide note near Rishipal’s body and a complaint filed by his son, the police have filed a case of abetment to suicide against three individuals, including the school principal, Chudia Ram, and teachers Dharampal and Harkesh Shastri. The case is currently under investigation by the police. In the suicide note, Rishipal mentioned that he had been facing harassment from the school’s principal and the two teachers.
