HashLearn launches free, live video classes for exams

June 17, 2018

On June 17, HashLearn – the award-winning education company – will start its free, live video classes for JEE Main and NEET aspirants preparing to write these exams in 2019.
HashLearn selects the best teachers at chapter-level and covers the full portion required for the target exam. Aspirants do not pay for attending live classes and if they miss a live video class, they can watch it later, again for free.

In the last three years, the company has launched Tutoring Packs – India’s most affordable high-quality, guaranteed, one-on-one, live tutoring service for Rs.40/- and more recently Publisher Packs, that for the first time, allows  users to buy individual chapter-wise content from India’s leading publishers. HashLearn has completed over 4 million minutes of tutoring thus far and its users have purchased hundreds of thousands of Tutoring and Content Packs.

Launching HashLearn Courses is the next step in the direction of disrupting the expensive Exam Coaching industry through a comprehensive, technology-based platform that offers a full-fledged exam coaching experience at an extremely affordable price point.  Enrollees get to see the full schedule in advance, background of their teachers and attend daily live video classes that have been scheduled at convenient timings.

Course enrollees pay to upgrade to Passport, an affordable subscription that unlocks Practice Packs issued by the teacher after each class, all the mock tests for target exams, discounts on Tutoring Packs and special offers on Publisher Packs. Passport is being offered at an introductory price of Rs.499/- per year irrespective of the number of exams that the student is preparing for.

Apart from JEE Main and NEET, the company has also opened pre-registration for courses in Banking and CAT.

“Eventually, we want to make high-quality Coaching for all exams available at an affordable, subscription price – just like the way you pay for any other utility. Having brought down the cost of access to tutoring and content, we are well-poised to make this happen,” says Jayadev Gopalakrishnan, CEO & co-founder.

A Google Launchpad company, HashLearn was founded by education entrepreneur Jayadev Gopalakrishnan and technologist Gokul Janga. The company is backed by India’s leading angels including Binny Bansal of Flipkart, Bhavish Aggarwal of Ola and Rajan Anandan of Google.

The HashLearn app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or iOS App Store. It can also be accessed on the Web.
