The Amitasha Foundation, which works for the education and upliftment of less privileged girls, organised an event titled “Her Future, Green Future” in collaboration with NHPC Limited at Amity International School, Noida. The celebration highlighted the themes of education, empowerment and environmental sustainability.
Addressing Amitasha students, Laxmi Singh, Police Commissioner of Gautam Buddha Nagar, emphasised that empowering women transforms entire communities. “When a woman is empowered, the whole society is empowered. Every girl must be educated to become independent and fearless. Being courageous in the face of adversity reflects true strength, and girls should inspire others through their resilience,” she said. She urged students to support other girls in their communities and to adopt positive values for personal growth.
Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, founder president, Amity Education Group, underlined that education is every child’s birth right and is key to nation-building. Dr. Amita Chauhan, chairperson, Amity Group of Schools, highlighted Amitasha’s mission to ensure no girl is deprived of education due to financial constraints, adding that its alumnae are excelling across professions despite hardships.
The event concluded with a cultural performance by Amitasha students on the theme of sustainability, followed by the felicitation of guests.
