Touching another milestone, Amity Directorate of Innovation and Technology ( DITT) transferred its ‘Herbal Hand Sanitizer’ Technology to NACL Industries Limited and an agreement of Technology Transfer was signed between Dr. B L Arya – Registrar, Amity University, Noida and C.V. Rajulu, Sr. Vice President, NACL Industries Limited in the presence Dr. Ashok K Chauhan- Founder President, Amity Group.

Elaborating on the Technology, Innovators, Prof. Seema Bhatnagar and Prof. V.R Pooja from Amity Institute of Biotechnology briefed that hand sanitizer is made from herbal extracts that have proven anti-microbial property which is safe for all age groups of people. The herbal extract has proven efficacy against bacteria and fungi as tested in the lab, is alcohol-free and has a long-term shelf life. “We have processed an all-herbal hand sanitizer using a variety of natural extracts which is not only effective in killing a plethora of bacteria and fungus but is also long-lasting and fragrant. This sanitizer does not contain any chemical agent as compared to what is available in the market and is extremely safe to be used by children and elderly” said Dr. Pooja.

Expressing delight on the Transfer of Technology, C.V. Rajulu, Sr. Vice President, NACL Industries Limited said that technology transfer with Amity is a matter of pride for us. “We use science, technology and research to make products, therefore, you are a researcher and we are the producer. Research and innovation make the product together. The Process of developing technology into a product is a long process, we together will write a new chapter of success”, remarked Rajulu.

Sharing his views, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder-President, Amity Group stressed that the relationship established between the researcher and producer will be beneficial for society. He also mentioned that soon the Amity Research- Producer Consortium will be formed in which companies will be encouraged to develop technology produced by researchers and scientists. The agreement should always be helpful in fulfilling each other’s dream. At present, need of the hour is to provide benefit to common man from research and Amity is working to fulfilling this objective, said Dr. Chauhan.

During the program, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh and Dr. W. Selvamurthy, President, Amity Science, Technology and Innovation Foundation were also present amongst hundreds of scientists, students and faculty.
