Himachal Pradesh: Classes 10, 12 board exams to begin from May 4

12,000 more centres have been added for CBSE Board examinations

The board exams for classes 10 and 12 will commence from May 4 in Himachal Pradesh, the Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur said. He added that the decision to conduct board exams in May was taken after consultation with teachers and parents.

The exams for other classes would be held from April 10, according to reports.

The board will take all necessary precautions related to Covid-19 and students will have to wear face masks and carry hand sanitisers. 

Earlier, the Himachal Pradesh government announced that all the schools, colleges and other educational institutions in the state will be closed till December 31, 2020. It was also been decided by the state government that winter closing institutions would remain closed from January 1 to February 12, 2021.

Online classes commenced from November 26 and all the teachers of state government schools have been asked to work from home. The online classes would continue even during the winter time as well.
