The ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Punjab has been ranked as the number one agricultural institute in India, according to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research’s (ICAR’s) Agricultural Universities Ranking 2019.
The second third positions were taken by Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana and ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi respectively.
The ICAR ranking of agricultural universities 2019 has ranked a total 67 universities in the country. The ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute Izatnagar, a deemed university has been placed in the fourth position while GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology Pantnagar has been ranked fifth.
The Council took to Twitter, to announce the rankings. It read, “Ranking of Agricultural Universities for the Year 2019. ICAR Agricultural Universities.”

As per the ICAR Ranking 2019, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University Hisar and Guru Angad Dev Veterinary And Animal Sciences have been placed on the sixth and seventh positions respectively.
