For the first time in the history of the CISCE board, two students topped the class XII exam with cent percent marks. Kolkata’s Dewang Kumar Agarwal and Bangalore’s Vibha Swaminathan are the history makers.
In the class X exam, whose results were also announced on Tuesday afternoon along with the class XII results, Mumbai’s Juhi Rupesh Kajaria and Manhar Bansal from Punjab’s Muktsar topped the exam.
The total pass percentage of ICSE exam was 98.54 percent, while it was 96.52 for ISC. Girls performed better in both categories. In ICSE, the Western region has the best pass percentage (99.76%), followed by Southern region (99.73%). The Southern region has the highest percentage of girls (49.72%)
In ISC, the Southern region has the best pass percentage (98.91%), followed by Western region (98.13%), East (96.66%) and North (95.76%). The Southern region has the highest percentage of girls (50.69%).
While 1021 students with learning difficulties took the class X exam, 123 obtained above 90%. In ISC, 25 out of 196 students with learning difficulties scored over 90%. The pass percentages in SC, ST and OBC are 95%, 93% and 96% respectively.
The ICSE examination was conducted in 60 written subjects and ISC examination for 49 subjects.
