IFIM Business School recently held its annual corporate summit, Confluence 2017 in Bangalore. The conference was attended by stalwarts from various industries.
The keynote speaker for the event was Venkataramana B, group president – HR Landmark Group. He spoke of the importance of a confluence in a business school and how networking helps in both organisational and personal development.
The topic of discussion for the day was ‘Competencies required to manage future business challenges’ emphasis on management graduates. The panellists for the event included Balachandar N, group director – Human Resources at Coffee Day Group, who was the moderator for the event; Bijoe George, head – brand strategy, advertising and digital marketing at Cisco – India and SAARC; Mysore Ramanujam – GM – HR at Biocon; A. N. Chandramouli – managing director – Starrag India and ex-president of Bangalore Chamber of Industry & Commerce (BCIC); Surya Mohapatra global head-please – Talent Transformation at Wipro BPS and Dr. Abhishek Nirjar – director, IFIM Business School.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Padode, secretary, CDE (IFIM Institutions) said, “Our curriculum helps make students empathise and understand people, in such a setting, confluence is important. The aim behind Confluence 2017 is networking and to build a stronger base for more events like these. With a power packed panel, the discussion was very fruitful and it provided some great insights. Confluence 2017 was a successful event with over 100 people in attendance including corporates, faculty and students. The event was followed by cocktails and dinner where the networking continued.
